Respond to SF Chron This Morning

Hey Green Guerrillas!

This mornings Chronicle says economic crisis might delay action on climate change.   This is a great chance to respond with info about how Prop H and moving to renewable energy economy will save us money.  Anyone up for sending in a Letter to the Editor?  There is a 25% chance of any LTE getting published -- so if 4 of us send one in, we're very likely to get covered.  Below is my letter --- and feel free to use it as your own.  It's OK to duplicate talking points, it just has to get in front of them.

Dear Editor -

"If you think mitigated climate change is expensive, try unmitigated climate change."  Since spoken on the steps of Congress by Dr. Gammon in 1999, this truth has become undeniably apparent with Katrina, Ivan etc. smacking us in the face.  San Francisco has a monumental opportunity to make the change to renewable energy infrastructure -- which guarantees savings in the long term by getting us off of skyrocketing costs of gas and builds a model policy that dramatically reduces emissions.  Prop H, San Francisco's Clean Energy Act, is our once in a lifetime opportunity to make this switch to affordable and safe energy. Don't let it pass us by.  Vote Yes on H.
